How Castee works

Understand podcasts, sites, the builder, publishing, and workspaces.

Castee is a website builder for podcasts you already host elsewhere. It reads your RSS feed, helps you design a complete site, and publishes fast static pages.

Podcast content

A podcast contains reusable show information: RSS source, artwork, episodes, platform links, guests, hosts, and verification status. RSS sync keeps it aligned with your podcast host.

Website presentation

A site controls how content appears: template, pages, sections, navigation, colors, typography, integrations, domains, and publish history. Editing a site does not alter your RSS feed or audio hosting.

This separation lets one workspace manage several sites and enables Studio network websites to present multiple podcasts together.

Section-based builder

Pages use structured sections instead of a freeform canvas. Each section has settings appropriate to its purpose, such as a hero, episode grid, guest list, form, newsletter signup, or footer. The result stays responsive and consistent with the template.

Draft, preview, and release

  • Draft: Autosaved builder changes visible only in your workspace.
  • Preview: A temporary rendered version for checking the saved draft.
  • Published release: The version currently served on the public domain.
  • Rollback: Switches the live site to an earlier published version.

Publishing creates static files served through a global CDN, so listener-facing pages do not depend on the dashboard being open.

Workspace and plan

Your workspace owns the podcasts, sites, billing, and members. Free, Creator, and Studio determine publishing limits and access to domains, premium templates, advanced content tools, networks, and teams.

Verification

Importing and designing can begin without an account. Publishing requires an account and confirmation through the owner email published in the podcast RSS feed.
