Redirects, short links & QR codes

Preserve old URLs and create trackable links for campaigns and offline promotion.

Creator and Studio plans include URL tools for migrations and campaigns. Redirects protect existing traffic; short links and QR codes make new destinations easier to share.

Create a URL redirect

  1. Open Sites → your site → Redirects.
  2. Enter the old path, such as /episode-24-guest-name/.
  3. Enter the new destination, such as /episodes/24-guest-name/.
  4. Save the redirect and publish the site.

Use paths for URLs on the same domain. Use a complete https:// URL only when the destination is external.

Migration checklist

  • Export or crawl the old site’s URLs before switching domains.
  • Map important pages one by one to the closest new equivalent.
  • Include alternate trailing-slash and legacy category paths when needed.
  • Avoid redirect chains: old URL should go directly to the final URL.
  • Test the map before and after the DNS cutover.

Create a memorable path for a long destination, then use it in show notes, social posts, or spoken calls to action. Give each campaign its own link so clicks remain understandable in analytics.

QR codes

Generate a QR code from a short link for event signage, print materials, merch, or video. Download a sufficiently large image, preserve clear space around it, and test it with multiple phones before printing.
