Ownership verification prevents someone else from publishing a misleading website for your podcast. It uses the owner contact published in the RSS feed.
Verify a podcast
- Import the podcast and create or sign in to your Castee account.
- Choose Send verification email.
- Check the podcast owner inbox.
- Open the secure link before it expires.
- Return to Castee and confirm the podcast shows Verified.
Each podcast is verified separately, including podcasts used by a Studio network.
Email did not arrive
- Check spam, promotions, and quarantine folders.
- Wait a few minutes before requesting another message.
- Confirm the RSS owner or managing-editor field contains an inbox you control.
- Ask your podcast host how to change the public owner contact.
- After changing the feed, sync it in Castee and request verification again.
Add an owner email at your podcast host
If Castee reports No owner email found in your RSS feed, the feed has no owner or managing-editor contact. Add one in your host’s dashboard, wait a few minutes for the feed to update, then use Check feed again in the builder’s publish menu.
The field is usually called owner email, contact email, or RSS email. Where to find it at common hosts:

Some hosts hide the address by default behind a privacy toggle — make sure the option to include it in the public feed is enabled.
The owner address is hidden
Some hosts (for example Spotify for Creators) proxy or remove the public owner address and offer no way to show it. Update the appropriate ownership field in the host dashboard if one exists, or contact Castee support with the podcast and feed URLs for help.
Verification and team members
Verification proves control of the podcast; workspace roles control who can edit it. Inviting a team member does not bypass verification, and removing a member does not change the podcast’s verified status.
