Importing gives Castee the show information needed to create a podcast website. Your podcast remains hosted and distributed by its existing provider.
Import with an RSS feed
- Open castee.fm/start or choose Add podcast in the dashboard.
- Select the RSS option.
- Paste the public feed URL supplied by your podcast host.
- Wait while Castee reads the feed.
- Confirm the show title, artwork, and recent episodes.
Use the canonical feed URL from your host rather than an Apple Podcasts or Spotify show page.
Search Apple Podcasts
If you do not know the feed URL, search by show name. Compare artwork and publisher details, then choose the correct result. Castee resolves its public RSS feed and imports it.
For similarly named shows or a recently launched podcast, direct RSS import is more reliable.
Imported information
| Content | Typical RSS source |
|---|---|
| Show title, description, author, language | Channel details |
| Show and episode artwork | RSS and podcast image tags |
| Episodes, descriptions, dates, audio | Feed items |
| Owner address | Podcast owner or managing editor field |
| Platform links | Feed metadata and supported platform detection |
Troubleshooting
The URL is rejected: Confirm it is a public http:// or https:// URL that returns XML without a login.
The wrong podcast appears: Go back and paste the direct RSS URL.
Episodes are missing: Castee can only import episodes currently exposed by the public feed.
Artwork or description is outdated: Correct it at the podcast host, then use RSS sync.
